Gabon Project Trip 9/22/2021 UpdateHello friends! My team and I would like to humbly ask for prayer that our eVisas would successfully come in before Monday. So far, we have had some issues which has caused us to shift our project dates, but we have a hospital business agent who is making progress on our approvals. As it stands, our travel is scheduled to be September 27 through October 9. So, as our team of prayer warriors, please remember my team in your intercessions to our King. As you pray, please consider the amazing work that is already done at Bongolo Hospital, and join us in EMI's vision to see "people restored by God and the world restored through design." Bongolo Hospital Ministry OverviewDeep in the rainforest of Gabon, Africa, Bongolo Hospital serves over 40,000 patients a year. Each of those patients hears the good news of Christ and thousands have accepted that call! Their vision is to see God glorified as people are healed, saved, equipped, and sent. They work with Christ to reach the lost in Gabon, by providing compassionate, professional medical care to all in need, and equipping Christian medical professionals to extend this vision to all of Africa. They provide holistic ministries throughout the hospital campus and empower medical professionals through our training programs. We develop strategies to engage the local community in innovative ways. Bongolo Hospital offers quality health care to a population who desperately needs it. Project DescriptionNow, due to continued growth and new priorities at the hospital, there is a need to expand the existing facilities and infrastructure supporting the hospital campus and mission station. The project will include an assessment of the water and wastewater infrastructure at the hospital and provide recommendations for improvements and expansion. Our team will also update the existing hospital and mission station campus master plan, given the hospital’s recently completed strategic plan update and provide an architectural design for the next new building to be constructed on the campus. The civil engineering focus includes site drainage, water distribution, and wastewater. Lastly, the project team will also identify recommended phasing/sequencing for the updated master plan.
